I don’t know what it is about pooping in the bathtub that is so appealing to my child but there has to be something spectacular about it because it happens on a regular basis.
I am guessing that she see’s the bathtub as a giant toilet (I mean, I can understand that for sure) but after I tell her “no” and cry painful tears, while plugging my nose every single time, you’d think she’d catch on. Apparently I need to be a tad more blunt.
I have personally never pooped in a bathtub or any kind of water for that matter, but I am starting to consider if I should make a change. I actually can sorta see why it might be so peaceful. I mean 1) you’re surrounded by warm water, 2) you’d feel so light (maybe it’s less effort), and 3) less cleanup? (at least on Lo’s end…pun intended.)
All I know, is that I need to come up with some sort of master plan to stop her bath shits. Maybe, I should just throw her over the toilet as soon as she starts squatting (she’s extremely obvious.) Maybe, I should keep her in a swim diaper (but then how would I clean her butt?) Maybe, I should just let dad handle it. Yep, I’ll go with that one, problem solved.
